What Color Is This Budgie?
And don't say white! haha I've already figured that much out myself.
I got this budgie about a month ago with 3 others. The other 3 (not siblings) have strips down to their ceres and dark irises so I'm guessing them all to be around 3-4 months old. When I bought them, I was told this one was female, and I thought "she" was solid white. One day I noticed a very faint shadow of sky blue feathers on the rump. You have to really look close to see.
So the eyes are not red, pink or plum colored so I guess that rules out dark eyed clear and albino. Then I thought maybe double factor spangle, but are those supposed to be totally clear with no markings at all? Could this be a double factor dominant pied? The legs and feet are solid pink. I was just under the impression that genetically d/f spangles and d/f pieds cannot have any body color. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
I'm just very confused about this. These pics were taken about 2 weeks ago, but as of yesterday there are still no noticeable changes in eye/iris color.
Any input would be great! Thanks!

Your budgie is NOT female. Its a male. Seems to be a double factor spangle male with slight suffusion explaining the slight colour you are seeing. Definitely male not female.
It could be a lightly marked recessive pied but to know for sure you will have to wait for iris rings or not. If it gets iris rings its def DF spangle. if none its lightly marked recessive pied. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
DF Spangles will produce all spangles in a nest when they breed.
BTW DF Dom pieds DO have body colour.....they have strong body colour over their rump.
