Hello,

I have a Gallah x Corella who is hand reared but looks about 10yrs.
I love him to bits, his really funny and has a great personality. But ever since i got him back, its like all his training went out the window. he just tried to bit everyone all the time. he will let you scratch his head for 2 seconds, then bitee! I got him out the cage into the house once (he walked out the cage out of his own free will) then got on my hand onto my shoulder (last week). iv had him for 3-4 weeks now. he seems to like me more than anyone but still is very hesitant to let me do anything to him other than hand feed. He hates sitting in his cage all day but i cant get him out. its soo fustrating. I really dont know wether to sell him to someone more experienced or keep trying my hardest. im getting him an small avairy and some gloves today. He was so happy at the other ladies house, just hate to think im making him "depressed". He also has alot of fur missing under his wings on his back. I think he over grooms but worried as its getting slowly worse i think. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Amazing - a galah crossed with a corella? I've never heard of that before. Anyway, 3-4 weeks is not a long time if he's around 10 years old. Just keep working quietly and patiently with him and he'll come around. Set the cage up somewhere safe and leave the door open, he'll venture out again when he's ready.
