I feel awful....my husbands dad is visiting us from Michigan and wanted to go somewhere with us so we could spend quality time together before he left, we did an overnight trip to go see the Hoover Dam with him...when we left in the morning Cheeks, my cockatiel, was fine...chirping like crazy...got ready with me as usual...since I got her from this bird farm (Where she was hand raised) she totally latched onto me, whenever I would leave the room she would keep screaming until I came back...she was very affectionate but almost separation anxiety type...I had only had her maybe a month? When we got back today...she was dead in her cage....I feel awful not only because she was still just a baby, but because I was not here and because she depended on me! I don't understand how she could have died...the room was the same shes been in, not too hot, not too cold...fresh food and water...what do you think happened? Could it be because i left for the day/night?

No it wasn't because you left I've had a couple parakeets that died like that one no reason I could see and the other fell of the perch and broke it's leg then died a few days later I felt just awful it was just something out of your control maybe he was sick it does happen I'm sorry....
