I used to have 23 budgies many years ago and at that time there seemed to be this big thing about trying to breed a pure black budgie. Me and my family tried and the closest we ever got was all black but he had white tips on his wings.

I just wanted to know if any ones ever bred a pure black budgie or if not what's the closest you got to it?

There is no black budgies and if you got close there would be photos ........right ??? Cameras have been around for a couple of centuries now so proof of anything close would be easy to do.
If there was a black budgie out there it would be documented and in all the news and on video.

While I have never seen a pure black budgie either live or on the internet, I am willing to put money down that there got to be at least one out there.
