i wanted to know witch bird was a female and if the other was a male becuase it seems they play alot with each other and they follow each other and calls for the bird when its not around
The easiest way to tell if your budgie is male or female is by looking at the "cere" - the fleshy area surrounding the nostrils, just above the beak.
Males have bright blue ceres (but some colour morphs may have a smooth pink coloured cere). If your budgie exhibits blue OR pink ceres, then its most probably a male.
Female budgies have brown, cream or white ceres, depending on whether they are in breeding condition or not.

yeah, look at their nose and if it is purplish or bluish it is most likely a male it should be redish or brownish if its a female.
Look at the nose, red or pink or brown or white is female and blue is male.
