what am i doing wrong. my chickens are not laying?

i got 3 chickens about 2 months ago. i got them from my aunts farm where their are other chickens the exact same as them and the chickens in my aunts farm are laying eggs but mine are not.

im feeding them the pellets mixed with a small bit of oats. i keep them in a large coop with plenty of room bedding light and shade. i let them out once or twice a day and then they wonder back into the coop themselves. as we have a few foxes around i cant leave hem out all the time as it is not safe.

they have plenty of water. WHAT ELSE AM I MISSING? WHY ARNT THEY LAYING?

by the way they do look quit big and fully growen.

any advice that i should take to get them 2 lay?
They stop laying when there isn't enough light, or if they get scared by something.

What we did was put a light in the coop that was turned on by a timer at 4am, then went off at 10am. That gave them another 4 hours or so of light and they started laying again.

Also, in winter they lay less anyway.
Are you leaving enough light on to simulate a long summer day?? Once days start to shorten their laying cycle can stop, also are they staying warm enough? If they are used to a coop full of other hens and yours might not be as warm might need to add a heat light if you are in a cool region (take caution on heat lamps as they can cause fires if not used properly) pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

could be stress from moving them, if you get a hen all stressed out she can stop laying, for instance if you have a fox come up to your coop one night and scare your hens she may not lay and take a day or so to get back into cycle,

I would make sure on the light, let them have a couple days to get used to their new surroundings and un stress, make sure they never run out of feed or water as that can throw their laying off, and make sure they are warm enough . Hope that helps
