Tomotoes are safe for budgies to eat in moderation. Tomatoes contain a good amount of vitamin C and some vitamin A, as well as other nutrients. Don't feed your budgie the leaves or stems of the tomato because those are toxic for budgies.
I would say no. I say this because budgies like to eat things that are dark green. Why? It means they are high in protein. And, tomatoes have many seeds and guts in them. The seeds are pretty large, especially for a budgie. So, one could easily choke and die on a seed. Try shredding some carrot and putting it in a cup. My budgies LOVE carrot.
I used to have a budgie. I fed her tomatoes all the time. She loved 'em. Every time I gave them to her, she'd eat the whole thing! Yes, they are good for them and it is safe for them to eat tomatoes.
