Hi
I am not sure which type of bird to get, a cocatiel or a dimond dove. I have done recearch but I just can't decide between these two. Which bird is easier to trane. I want a bird that will come when I call it and also perch on my sholder. I plan to get one so me and the bird can have a strong bond. Between what type of bird in the title do you think I should get?
Coco! Doves are a lot more scared of us then Cocos! Well at least in my case. I've had mine ever since I was in 6th grade, and now I'm in 10th. Trust me, he's a silly sweet-heart. But It's not really the type of bird that's easy to tame, it really depends on who they are, and weather or not they have been treated kindly. I have a another coco, and at first it didn't seem to like me, but now it's being nicer. Like people , each bird is different, and act differently. Some of the birds I have are jumpy, while others don't seem to leave me alone (friendly way) You should learn a bit more about both birds, and maybe take a look at other types. Like some are super loud, while others might have a softer voice. (I wish I knew that ahead of time XD) Its best to look up more info, and make your own opinion. I hope I helped!
Definately a cockatiel. Birds in the parrot family bond more easily to humans than other kinds.

Doves although cute, are very flighty, nervous birds and do not have vibrant personalities like cockatiels do.
I've never had any type of dove, but cockatiels are easy to train if you get them at a young age. Just take it slowly, and do your research first.
Cockatiel, mine is so loving, talks alot, and I'd have no other ----
