Lonely parrotlet question. Should we put her with a mate?

I have a wonderful tame female blue parrotlet and she is very much our friend we don't want any problems with her socially, phycologically nor physically. So my question is now that we have in the house also, a male parrotlet of her species or type (what ever it called). what will happen?

She is a year old and has not to date laid one egg. What do we do to keep her happy .... Do we put them togather or keep them apart?

and if we put them togather will our tame parrotlet not be so tame any more or will she no longer prefer our company ... right now she plays with us she chases lego starwars ships she opens the lego treasure chest and scatters the, she is "a greedy little duck."

We want to do what is best for her and really we are greedy too cause we don't want to loose her favor although it would be nice to see baby parrotlets. SO we need opinios or facts as to what we can expect if they are housed togather or if they are kept seperate.

I do think she may have been a tad lonely because other day she left the room like a dog wanting to go on a car ride with us. We had to go out and she wanted to come. She has never done that before and she almost wound up outside and perhaps lost for good and we don't want that to happen. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

So does any one out there have a tame parrotlet for a pet and how did you handle it when she was lonely or did you loose your pet once your pet found a mate?
My first question to you is: Is she bonded with you or anyone in the house? Are you sure she is lonely? She may have just wanted to spend some more time with you. My bird sometimes flies after me as well and he's not lonely at all. He just wants more time with his mommy ! So I'm wondering if she has bonded with you? If she is, there may not be a need to buy her a companion. If she has you and you don't want to care for another pet bird then there might not even be a need for one!

If you're sure that your bird is lonely, then getting another bird might be a good choice (parrotlets can live in pairs right?? Lol) Well if they can, then yes. If a bird is strongly bonded with you many of the time they still will be even if you buy another bird. If the bird was never bonded with you and you buy another bird it's very hard to get the bird to bond with you when the bird is focused on bonding with the other bird.
Well dont put it with another female because based on world science if you put the same gender of animals they wont hang out to much so first put the opposite gender like put a man parrotlet cause they would like start liking and having fun with each other this happened to me too and it happened to JOHNNY TEST. So put it with another gender perhaps they can make a baby and raise it together.
