I own an African Grey too!! :)

There are special foods for Grey's, specializing in their eating habits and what vitamins help them the most. I suggest you go to a pet store and look around at the different variety of foods and see which food you think would be best for your bird. Of course, you should always provide your bird with healthy, and safe veggies and fruits, as they are part of a healthy food choice for birds. :) Good luck!

dont feed her to many sun flower seeds as they are high in fat!

Well, before you get a Grey you should know they aren't for everyone. No beginners. These are highly messy, intelligent, demanding, and sensitive creatures. They need 6+ hours of attention a day. They are very sensitive, so don't just put new toys in the cage and expect it to be fine. He/she may get very scared of the new toy, so place the new toy(s) next to the cage for a week to make sure they're used to it. Also, they cannot be introduced into a large cage when they come home. You need to keep them in a smaller conure cage. it makes them feel more secure. They also take up about $150 a month on food and toys. Vet bills are also very expensive and can shoot up to $1,000 quickly. They live about 50 years, too. No one ever keeps them that long. "Most cats have 9 lives but most parrots have 9 homes".
