Will my budgie remember me if I go away for a week?
On march 25th me and my family are going away for a week over to western Australia (we live in NSW) for a wedding. I got a budgie on boxing day and ive fallen in love with him. I just wanted to know if he might forget me seems im going away for so long. BTW my sister and her husband are staying at my house for a while to look after everything. Thx to all the answers. xoxo :)
answer: Nope, budgies have more memory than you think!
I went away for 3 weeks overseas and had my uncle to take care of him. I rang back and asked my uncle about my budgie and my budgie started chirping as soon as he heard my voice on the phone. :)
It's great that your sister and her husband are going to take care of it.

Your budgie will definitely remember you, and he will miss you very much. :)

actaully, no.
I left my budgie for 4 days, and when i was back it was happier thanEVER.!
just suppy it with lots of food and water , even if your sister && her husband are staying over.
You'll have too keep your bird in a Quiet place, so i suggest put it in a diffrent room.
No he won't forget you. Talk to him a lot between now and then and he'll remember your voice. If you are really concerned, make a tape recording of you saying your usual sentences to him and have your Sister play it to him.
if you've tamed it and socialized it with your family members, then yes it'll remember you and look forward to seeing you again :)
birds are smart animal, they'll remember so don't worry ^_^
He should, it doesnt really matter if he does or not though, because when you get back you can just restart your relationship with him , as long as you dont leave again for a while
im not sure but if anything you could like... make a recording of ur voice or something... if you can, you can call him XD lolz..
No, it shouldn't. If you went away for about 3 weeks or so then maybe.
