Why did both of my Lovebirds die?
OK so i have to love birds a yellow and green they were both together like you know together like they loved each other and yesterday they were perfectly fine and they were chirping all day long except around 8pm when me and my mom found them dead laying down at the bottom of their cage and the green one was holding on to the bottom of the cage with one of his feet. They have a good water and food supply. But they were just laying their dead and i was just wondering why did they die i don't think they were so old i would say middle aged but its just weird to me how both of them were dead so can someone please help me... im desperate and Please no silly or mean answers
One died the other committed Suicide.
The Other could not continue without its mate.
Cold? Disease? I really am not sure cause it could be so many things. Sorry for your loss
You guys have a carbon monoxide detector by chance? You may want to consider something like that.....
it could be anything disease a virus a coincidence. a broken heart someone contaminated the water and or food. they ate gassy food. because bird are incapable of farting and will literally die from stuff like beans soda anything carbonated and or produces gas. carbon monoxide. stress of being captive in a cage. sadness. you didn't provide them enough attention. bird's can and will die of loneliness. i mean the possibility's are endless. There's no sense dwelling in the past move on and remember the good times you had with them.

Did you cook with any non-stick cookware recently? If heated too high, the non-stick coating emits a deadly fume that kills birds within hours.
SAME thing happin to me with my parakeet i dont get it what i can foy for you is if the birds were outside thin mabye to hot to cold if inside things in the air like airspray to make the air smell better that can kill a small bird not the right food water to hot to cold for there insides i dont think the birds were fighting so no i dont think or mabye? but anything can kill a small bird like lovebirds beacuse it happin to me just up and out of no were ...dead
first of all, i am sorry for your loss. may they rest in peace, my prayers go out to them pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

in my opinion, the most likely causes are disease (often birds can be very good at hiding their symptoms), or poison (such as carbon monoxide, nonstick cookware fumes, aerosols). there are other possibilities of course, but i think those two would be most likely reasons for two sudden deaths.

if you are really desperate to know for sure, most vets will do necropsys for a relatively low cost.
