Isn't It kind of strange, Or Is this actually normal? And why are people relating this to '2012'?

Birds, Fish and Bees are all very sensitive to magnetic field changes.

The Earth is currently undergoing a magnetic pole shift that happens every 160,000 years. I found details on the Nasa website but they appear to have removed it. The magnetic field itself does not impact humans directly since we don't have built in compasses in our brains. For birds, fish and bees, a massive change would explain why all are dropping dead globally at the same time.

The exact dates of the shift are not easy to find. Many sites claim 2012 but it takes over 1000 years for the north/south poles to swap places magnetically.

Coincidentally, the sun's 24th cycle (since Science started measuring) is going to peak in late 2012 and early 2013. This means a lot of solar flares and storms that can bring down our power grid.

These two events happening at the same time is concerning since the Mayans were aware of both AND they could not possibly have had any way to know this. Both cycles require some very modern technology and we are still understanding these complex changes.

I personally do not believe this means the end of the world BUT strange things are happening and we may have some challenging days ahead.

First, birds and fish and animals die in groups all the time, its not new.

Third, they aren't falling everywhere (no reports of birds falling in New York City or Paris or Los Angeles or ...)

It's just very cold outside, especially higher up in the sky. Birds may have feathers, but they are mostly used for flying. and they only keep the bird so warm. Besides, now days, everyone's relating things to 2012. It's just a cold winter. 2012 will come and go, and nothing will happen. 2000 went by and we're still living.
