Parakeet climbs around the cage?
Okay, so they always did this, but only near 9:00 o' clock PM. I mean like, they flap their wings and jump up and down the perches, then they start talking while flapping their wings and nod their head. After that, they start talking and their head puffs up, I have 2 parakeets and they do the same behavior, maybe they could be telling me to close the blankets?? Last time I closed the blankets they stopped doing it. After the other bird flaps their wings and starts yelling and chirpping, the other bird does it as well. I've had them for 5 or 6 years already. They also start talking happily after that and bob their head up and down, both of them.
They are just having their evening gossip. (Grin). As long as they don't seem upset or aggitated, there isn't a problem. My birds are generally pretty noisy from when they are uncovered, until about noon. About 8-9pm, the older one will start squaking, fussing and that is exactly what she wants, is to go to bed. If I try to take her out at that time, she will hiss at me (yes, I can take her out if I am intent on it, I am the "boss"). The second "try" she will grab her bell and ring it like crazy. If I try again, she will nip me. This is only in the evening and only when "she" has decided to go to bed. Her behavior was what led me to learn this shortly after I got her. It was the only way she would settle down (and I MUST turn off the light as well). Just turning off the light or just covering her is not enough. It is actually funny. (She isn't a morning person either, go figure).

Since you have had them so long already, I would just keep doing what you normally do. They sound pretty happy.
