Is my leopard gecko lonely?
My leopard gecko is a male and lately has been sitting in the bottom of his cage sleeping and opens his eyes to to get up and all of that. He is not sick as I took him to the vet three days ago and the vet said he was fine. By the way his name is Koby and he will be two years old this summer. Please tell me the answer here as I want him to be happy and yes he has been handled since the first day we got him when he was tiny.
answer:
Your leopard gecko is most likely fine. They are nocturnal and therefore will be lazy during the day. Mine is extremely lazy but very healthy. Most experts will actually tell you to keep them alone. As long as Toby has an enclosure with all the basic necessities and perhaps an extra cave or two for more exploring he should be fine. If you really feel like he is lonely and it would make you feel better to add another, make sure you A)- have enough room and B)- get a female. Be very careful because sometimes they dont get along (especially 2 males).

I have read many books and found information on many sites.
he could be; you should try socializing with him more because my friend had a gecko and when he left for college he left the gecko and it got really depressed because no one interacted with him anymore and he passed away.
he could be lonely , but geckos dont really do much anyway there quite laid back , there is no real way of knowing if he happy or not just proceed in doing wot ur doing giving him lots ov attention
