have a cockatiel that is a little over a year old. For some reason, his cockatiel crest has never grown, ever since I got him, which was when he was 6 months old. He is under no stress, is very happy and healthy, but I am concerned about his crest, and why it hasn't grown. He recently attempted to pluck my African Grey's feathers, so is this some weird unhealthy obsession?? Should I don't think this is a big enough deal for the vet... Any answers are apprecieated, than you so much for your help!

It could be that before you got him his crest feathers were pecked at and damaged. I would say don't worry about it. Just wait until the next time he molts and see if they grow back!
