I am in desperate search of a Corvus Albus ... Since I live in South Africa, I thought it would be easy. But catching one is impossible without the right equipment. Besides, it won't like me much if I kidnap it. .. Does anyone know of any crow breeders in Western Cape, South Africa?
Never catch a wild bird. They can carry diseases and illness, which could be passed to you and your other pets. Wild birds never really do become tame , it's better to buy a hand raised bird.
I am not from south africa, so I don't know the animal regulations, but in Canada it is illegal to own a crow.
You should first look into your local regulations before going out and purchasing a bird.

It is usually illegal to own a bird that is native to your country. Highly illegal to capture them. You can usually own non-natives obtained from a breeder. You might check out his breeder, he offers Pied Crows and Ravens. You might not be able to legally own a Pied Crow AT ALL, even if obtained from a breeder. Please check out the wildlife laws for you country before you obtain a bird.
