I want to add a UV light for my cockatiel. I know it needs to be UV. How far from the bird does it need to be? I can put it on a timer so he has 12 hrs with and 12 with out.
that is very beneficial especially if you dont take your birds ouside. You can sit the light on top of the cage,, but make sure it isnt too strong of a light because it can harm the bird (just like too much sun can harm us) ..
