I have a hen sitting on seven eggs, I have been looking in the nest box once every second day just to keep an eye on things, The first egg was due to hatch yesterday but never hatched and in the last 2 days I have been checking every morning and evening to see although yesterday I did look at lunch time as well. I do not touch the eggs and my hen is rather tame so does not come off them when I look she just looks at me. This morning when I checked she stood up and I was able to see the colour of the eggs, 2 or 3 were peachy coloured and 4 were definatly a solid whitey grey colour. I am just worried I shouldn't be looking so offen ????
The two or three that are peachy coloured arent fertile. So if they were the first eggs laid then she isnt due for any hatchings for a few more days yet. The whitish ones are fertile.
Keep doping what you are doing. The nestchecking you are doing now is fine for whats going on.

It may help you.
Best of luck
Yes, its ok to check on the eggs as often as you done so far. Just don't touch them or get your finger to close to the hen as she may attack your fingers. Good luck with the eggs hatching.

I think you're fine, as long as you try to look at them a little less often.
Are you even sure the eggs are fertilized? That may be why they haven't hatched yet.
My best guess would be to do some research and see when there eggs hatch then start checking at a descent time, maybe every day after or a few days before there sapposed to hatch
