i dont want any answers full of crap (no offense) i just want to know the hand rearing food ingredience, i want to know weather to buy it or weather i can make it. my cockatiel is about 10 weeks old is can eat seed from a bowl but still depends on its parents feeding it, but the dad scraps with it and im scared of it getting hurt, its very hard to move the dad because he isnt tame and bites very hard!. i want to know these things.
1) what hand rearing food am i looking for?
2) can i make it? If so what are the ingredience.
3) how long can a 10 week cockatiel go without food (taking into consideration im at school from 9AM and dont return home by 4:25 PM?
Look for egg and busicuit hand rearing mix, or ones with vitamins ect.
this homemade hand rearing formula is only for starlings, sparrows, ect
but it will still work for other birds.
okay you need
1 cup of cat food
ssoak it in water then put in fridge
add bird vitamins
then moosh it together.

oh and if the dad gets to aggresive separate it from the dad, who knows what he could do to it.
