do birds learn from their flock?

I have two birds and I want both of them to be hand-tame talking the same words. If I teach one and introduce them to each other will the one learn to be hand-tame and talking like the other?
It does depend on the type of bird, but in general:

While parrots do learn from each other, they don't learn what you want them to. Seeing the example of a hand-tame bird may help a new bird become hand-tame more quickly, but it isn't enough by itself. One bird might learn words from another, but is more likely to learn obnoxious noises. Having two birds, especially two of the same type, usually makes it harder to train them; they pay more attention to each other and less to you.

As for talking, there's no guarantee that any parrot will talk. Some do, some just don't - even in the best talking species.
