can a bird ever fly again if its wing is broken?

i found a almost completely full grown dove and it looks like there is nothing wrong with it. but when t walks it kind of drags its wing and it was easy to catch her. there was NO cuts or any even slightly broken skin at all. i got her to drink, but i havnt seen her eat food. she can walk perfectly well and fly a tiny bit. but if i feel at her shoulder it feels all messed up and the bone bumps out. do you think she will be able to fly again? im not taking her to any vet because i have no money and the closest wild life bird people are about 40-50 miles away. please just tell me if she will fly again
A break in a bird's bone starts to set in a few days, so if not seen to quickly, it can fuse in the incorrect position. You could try to look after it for a while to see if the condition improves, but if you're not willing to go to a vet (they don't charge for wildlife btw) or a wildlife rehab centre and the condition doesn't improve, you may as well put it out of it's misery. If you try to release it and it can't fly properly it will only be killed by something anyway.
well birds cannot fly if their wings are broken, unless you get it treated ...

if you cannot afford a vet, then why not treat the bird for a while?

keep it warm, bandage his wing, provide nutritious food, etc etc ...

google for methods of treating an injured bird.

good luck!

and try to limit handling the bird. Try not to touch/pet/poke it. It will hurt.
If you cannot afford a vet call one on the telephone and he can explain how to make a splint.
