Your cockatiel is so cute!

Your bird may be trying to tell you something. He may feel neglected from the flock if you don't give him hours and hours of attention. Also, change his water once a day, not once every two days. Stale water doesn't meet a bird's oxygen and hydration needs. Cover its cage at about 8:00 PM and uncover it at about 6 to 8 AM. The lack of light will tell the bird's brain to settle down and it might stop all behaviors. Many birds function by the "switch" of the light. Also, every once in a while blow your bird's food bowl to get rid of the extra hulls. Cockatiels use their beaks to break the seeds and eat the inside, the outside they do not eat. Those are called the hulls and pile up if they are not taken out. If too many are in the way of the food you bird may stop eating. It is just like having a pile of too many leftover bones in the way of your chicken meal at KFC . pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

If nothing else helps you may need veterinary attention. Hope this helped!
Both videos are of quite normal behaviours, especially in a young bird that is still adjusting to his new home.

The first video you could nearly describe as crying-this is one way young birds communicate when they are hungry, and they want to be fed. If you put your finger in his mouth and emulate feeding, he shoud bob his head back and fourth just like he would if food was being regurgitated for him.

This will pass with time when he gets a little older. My Conure still likes to bob his head back and fourth at 4 years of age!

The second video is of a young bird that is still a little awkward and adjusting to his new home. He is not yet 100% comfortable with you, but again this will pass with time and attention on your part.

Maybe make sure to keep him out of his cage for shorter periods of time, so he can come back and recouperate. You can even leave the cage door open if you like so he can come out in his own time. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Allow him out often, but just give him time to settle and come to his senses, as well.

Within a few weeks this should no longer be a problem.

Good luck with your gorgeous new pet!
Lui looks like he's scared of the camera. Try to keep it away from him.

Anyways, young cockatiels try to mimic noises. That's what your bird is probably doing. Here is a site to explain it to you.:). Good luck !!!!!
