Will my chicken be ok?

ok my first rooster i ever had has got some kind of disese and hes had it for about a month now and its not getting any better. he has nasal and eye discharge, he shakes his head, has yellow poop and hes really lazy now and he wont crow ..... please help .. what should i do?
I'm sorry, but that really doesn't sound good. Personally, as a small breeder/keeper of chickens if I had a bird that sick for such a time I would put him down. It may seem mean, but he is a risk to all your other birds. I really hope you have him quarantined, but even so there is a chance it could spread. If you are the type to head to the vet, then go for it.

As for the exact problem, there are many chicken ailments. And unfortunately many have the same symptoms. Since he is having eye trouble and nasal maybe it is a case of Newcastle or Mareks, both of which have no cure, and are highly contagious.

As if now if you still want to keep him, they keeping him separated from the flock is essential. Keep him in a comfortable are, a nice clean cage, and an easy going temperature. Give him his regular feed, but if he doesn ' t eat enough, you may want to force feed him some soggy whole grain bread. You can add some sugar water, or vitamin mixed to his water.

If he appears to have a really hard time with digestion, then maybe go with calmer foods such as cooked rice, and oats.

Honestly I have to say .... maybe? I really can't say. Take it to a vet, yes a vet. Ask them first or even call around. Try searching animal hospitals around your area and calling them. Tell them about your chicken. Maybe they can do something about it. My chickens died and I really would hate to see that happen to yours.

Good luck: O
eat it and hope you don't get bird flu
