What Bird can be Kept with a cockatiel in the same cage?

I have a male cockatiel and Im MAYBE gonna get another one. Please tell me what bird is the nicest to a cockatiel ... IF YOU KNOW!
I would suggest that you simply get another cockatiel if you want to get another bird . As highly social animals, your cockatiel may benefit greatly by having the company of another bird; this would serve to enrich your bird's social environment which, believe it or not, is very good for the bird's physical and mental well-being. That said , you cannot guarantee that any two cockatiels will get along; these highly cognitive animals have "personalities" (using more scientific speak, "behavioral syndromes"), and may not be compatible due to differences in temperament and constitution. Some birds are quite gregarious and social while others are much more shy and skiddish. (However, you can sometimes make a cockatiel more socially comfortable by simply spending a lot of time handling it and interacting with it). This is a point you must keep in mind when considering getting a companion for your cockatiel. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

One last point, although it's rather obvious. If you have a male cockatiel and pair it with a female cockatiel they may end up breeding and eventually producing nestlings. Unless you want to go into bird breeding, I advise you avoid getting a female and putting it in the same cage as the male.

Hope this helps, good luck!
You might be able to get another cockatiel, but birds are like people --- you can't guarantee that just because they look alike they'll get along. If you get another bird, you'll need to slowly introduce them to each other - having them live in different cages until they get used to each other. Because you don't know, maybe one may feel threatened and try to attack the other.

Definitely don't try any other sort of bird aside from a cockatiel.
Only another cockatiel. Any other birds your cockatiel will either attack or be attacked by. Even other small birds will leave gruesome wounds in your bird. Only consider getting another cockatiel ... and even then it's risky. If you really want to get another bird I'd get it in a different cage, but who knows, you may get lucky.
