I was training her to step on my finger and it was good but when I got her out of her cage she fell into walls and went crazy. I think she is not injured. How can I train her to go outside without getting crazy and scared of the outside of her cage.
baby steps. Go back to getting her on your finger in the cage, close to the door. Do this for a few days. Then, take her out but keep her close to the cage. Week by week go further and further away until she's not anxious any more. Also, make sure her wings are clipped. The pet store can do this, and if you watch a few times you'll learn how to do it at home in no time.
leave the cage door open and if she feels safe she will come out on her own. years ago I had one parakeet and we did not even train him. all we did was leave the door open the first day and he would come out and only go in to go to sleep or for food or water. now I have two parakeets and if I put my hand into the cage, they are scared of me
I would clip her wings until you two are bonded good, and until she is comfortable outside of the cage. Then, they will grow back out, and she should be more calm outside of the cage, and will come to you when called!:)
first of all make sure her wings are clipped. Keep her close to the ground because she will not beable to fly and falling to the ground could break a leg or something .... then make sure its quiet and just a calm enviroment
