I am not sure if they are fighting with each other or upset that I am not giving them some attention. Sometimes they do this when Iay down for a nap or go to bed or when I wake up=pretty much there is no correlation to what I do. I dont know if they are fighting with each other. Any suggestions? Is it normal to skreech?
I currently have two parakeets and they screech all the time. It's normal and there's nothing wrong with them. Parakeets like to talk and screeching is included, even if we don't like it.:). Don't worry and enjoy your parakeets!!! They are worth it!!!
Nothing at all wrong with them. If they were quiet then something would be wrong with them. Screeching is just another way they communicate with each other and with you. It could mean many things like "get away from my swing" "Beware danger" "Don't touch me "or they could just be annoyed at their keeper for leaving the room (in their mind the flock)" where are you going? "
Enjoy them they can be such characters.
What can you say they're budgies and they are never quiet:) some even chatter in their sleep. They are very social birds. Try covering their cage when you nap but stay away from covering them too much.
