I have had many birds over the years and now I have a proble

I had two parakeets and recently added two fledgelings and both of them have rough looking feathering around the eyes, one has lost all the feathers in that area and the under eye area is swollen. The others where I bought these are fine, the original two remain fine. There is no discharge from either the eyes or nose and the eyes are clear. She is eating and acting fine except that she rubs her eyes on the perches a lot, scratches at them and now appears to be squinting because of the swelling . I have the parasite guard on the cage now, didn't before this has gotten worse. The nearest Avian vet is over 2 hrs. away. any ideas?
My vet is a minimum of 90 minutes away. If I get stuck in a traffic back-up on the Wash, DC beltway (very common) it has taken me as many as 4 hours to get there. So two hours is no excuse (imho). Btw, there are avian vets closer to my home but mine is the best (imhoLOL).

I don't know what's wrong w your budgie (s) but you have to have a vet look at this. And soon. The poor creature w the eye problem is obviously suffering. The longer this goes unchecked the more likely it will develop into someting worse.

Spraying water won't do a thing but make a sick/injured bird wet. Take the parasite guard away. Any fumes could irritate the bird and in general they are frowned upon by experienced bird keepers. They don't keep parasite off your birds . Manufacturers can convince us we need to pay money for anything. Sandpaper perch covers are a pet peeve of mine.

I hope your bird makes it. Best wishes, dear.
Their really much you can do but take or find acloser vet in your arera it sounds like she or he has a rreal bad infection and need medical attin asap or the bird can and lose their eye sight
there might be an infection. try and spray cool water on the eye.
Did you quarantine these birds for 30 days before placing them with the rest of your flock? I certainly hope so.If there is an infection of some sort or worse the rest of your flock is going to get it and you will lose them all.Best bet is to find a vet close by that will deal with birds until you can get it to an avian vet or drive to that avian vet now.Until you get that fid to the vet I suggest you separate that bird from the rest.
