Hi there, I just got this bird about less than a week ago ... he is a Nanday Conure .. I was just petting his neck and seen this large scab-like growth hanging off his neck can anyone tell me what this could be ?! I am so worried because he is so sweet and I am getting attached already
You NEED to take your bird to a vet. Not just because of the growth, but because he is a new bird.
I wish I could see the growth to understand it better. Are you new to birds? It might be a pin feather. Is it white?
Perhaps it could be mites?
I'm no vet, but I think you should get it checked out.
Side Note: Your so lucky! I love naydays! They have such cute little red legs. I hope you will enjoy years of laughter and joy with him:)
