He is stil young and he is feathering out beautifully. Just for curiosity I would like to know how long does it take for the crop to emtpy. I read on the net about feeding the species, and it said between 25 - 35 days it should be fed 3 times a day, 40 -70 two times, etc.
Here is an excellent article on hand feeding. Even though they are discussing Quakers, the basics are the same for any type.
http://www.quakerparrots.com/handfeeding ... You may already know, but, if the crop is not emptying properly, it can be a symptom of sour crop, slow crop, crop stasis, etc. Those are serious issues and if not handled right away and properly, you may lose the baby . If you aren't sure about any of it, I'd urge you to try to locate a local reputable breeder or any experienced hand feeder and ask for help. As for the schedule, ignore that. There are no set in stone time tables for hand feeding, how often and for how long. Each chick is different. Basically you feed as soon as they beg, hopefully on an empty crop and you continue feedings for as long as they will take them, age wise. Once the chick is fully eating on it's own, then you reduce the amount and stretch out the feedings a bit. All the while, you should be introducing warm mashed veggies and other healthy varieties into the diet. As soon as they show interest in eating on their own , start with the variety. The younger they are when introduced to new foods, the better. Good luck.
