.. Im going to buy few dyed chicks and .. what shouldn't i feed it??
Dyed chicks? As in them ridiculous colourful ones?
Don't buy them. Its animal cruelty.
You feed them on 'CHICK CRUMB' until they are 6 weeks old
You don't know weather your getting a boy or a girl, if you get a boy they are use less and very noisy.
Dyed chicks are regular baby chicks just their eggs yolks are dyed when they develop. They are sold to people who go out and buy some chicks for their kids because they look cute. then when they grow into full chickens they are dumped on the side of the road or sent to shelters because they no longer are cute and pink.
you should not buy the dyed chicks unless you research and know what you are doing. they will loos the dyed color after a few weeks and then be normal chickens. they will need someone to build them a coop in you yard and they need to be feed each day and given fresh water. they also need to be locked into the shelter each night so that predators will not get them. then in morning they need to be let out. do you really have the time to do this and are you going to be a responsible flock owner?
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com obviously you have no idea what you are talking about. you don't feed them just fruits and veggies instead you have to feed them special chick starter with 20% protein. hen after 6 weeks switch them to pullet grower with 16% protein. then when they are old enough to lay you must feed them a layer feed. if you provide them with only fruits and veggies they will die of nutritional deficiency. birds need to have grit which is small pebbles to grind up the food in their gizzard. if you add any food other then the chick food they will not be able to digest it with out the grit which you should then but. you should feed them free choice in a special chick feeder. chicks poop a lot so when their house starts to smell you will have to clean it out other wise they will die of illness.

the chicks that they dye are all most always roosters that nobody wants to buy. they are the egg laying breeds that have left over roosters because people only buy the hens for eggs. if you buy these chicks you will end up with a ton of crowing cocks who will probably kill each other when they are older (roosters will fight to the death if their are little or no hens present).
