okay, so, this might be long but PLEASE HELP!
okay
well, i used to have parakeets 3 years ago .. (i had a male & female who mated)
and they got 2 babies
they were well trained and everything, they perched on your finger, ETC ..
well, my mom got pregnant and we had to give away our parakeets .. me and my dad got REALLY mad .. what ever .. anyways .. my baby brother is now 3 years old .. and IS able to be around animals without hurting them (i took him to the pet shop and the owner lets me hold the cocktails and he played with it .. with supervision .. and didn't hurt it) but, now i want another parakeet .. my dad does too! and he IS willing to get me 2 more even though my mom doesn't want them LOL .. but the problem is .. he isn't letting me NOW, (well not now .. but u get it right?) because he thinks my brother is NOT able to work with animals .. i cant take my dad to the pet shop, because when he gets home, the pet shop is always closed ... so i cant show him my brothers behavior. i did all my chores, i was EXTRA nice, and i helped my parents with my brother which isn't my job .. (i took him out with me all the time) but still he said that i have to wait until my brother is 4, ( in MARCH) I've already waited 2 YEARS and i feel like i cant wait another 5 months ... well i know that its not that far. away. but can anyone tell me a way that i can get them sooner? it doesn 't have to be THIS month, but the sooner the better!

Don't get mad at me, but I gree with your mom and dad, your brother is still too young! And he doesn't understand that birds and animals could get hurt easy!
I know kids love pets, but they can't handle them properly and they can't take good care of them! So, you waited for 2 years, I guess few months should be like a peace of cake!
Perhaps you'll get a better bird after all ..
Why don't you try taking him on a weekend? Or you can video tape (phone or camera) your little brother with the parakeet, and than show it to your father.
