sooo im three yr old bro was in thw wr and he managed to to get his hands on this cleaning bleach and well he thought there was just water inside so he went to my birds cage and dumped the entire bleach liqued on my bird (cockateil) .. now the bird wont eat or move, he just sits there and closes his eyes slowly .... we did pour water on him after the incident ... but he still is really glum .. does anyone know what we can do next or whats wrong with him???

You probably should not have dumped the water on him.It could cause the cemical to make contact with his scin causing more harm.You should dry him with paper towels and use damp cloth to remove any of it on his feathers and repeat a few times drying and wiping and keep him out of an enclosed area so he does not ingest the fumes.The best to do then is take him to the vet.Good luck

Bleach fumes are toxic to birds and the bleach can burn them.
O my gosh im so srry is he okay? That's not good at all im soo sorry i know how awful that must be please update on if he made it
