how much heat should i set on thermostate to hatch an egg?

It depends upon what species of bird the egg is from. Some species can require higher or lower heat that other species. For chickens, it's 99 to 101 degrees Fahrenheit measured at the top of the eggs and 65% to 75% humidity.

.
Depends on the type of egg, do you mean a bird egg or a reptile egg? Usually for poultry/ducks its around 37-37.5C and around 40% humidity. Last 3 days increase humidity to 60-65% drop temp to 37C if it was higher and stop turning.

My advice before commencing any sort of incubation would be to read up online as much as possible so you know what you are doing. You will struggle to have a successful hatch if you don't know what temperature to set the thermostat even?
