Today i saw 2 of my parakeets mating. But they only mated for like a second and fell over. That happened twice. Will they still breed or not?
It's their clumsy attempt at a first time:)
When my lovebirds started breeding, the Female was so confused she got on top of the Male ... From what I've read, it's perfectly normal and they will continue to attempt their first babies.
Also, please don't be sad if the first clutch (she will almost certainly lay eggs if they are already breeding-they only breed when the female's eggs are ready) doesn't survive-our first clutch only had 1 survive out of 5 eggs. They will with time be more successful parents, and will eventually figure out what goes where.
