One of my parakeets passed away today, and her partner is completely devastated. He's just been staring at the spot where she passed and he looks like a human does when they're about to cry. We had the one that just passed for 9 years , and he was around for about 8 1/2 of them. I'm very worried because I think that he will die fairly soon. They were always playing together and I don't think he'll survive long without his mate. Is there anything I can do to make him feel better? Their cage was always in the kitchen, but I was thinking of moving it to my room for the night so he doesn't feel so lonely? Any suggestions?
this story made me cry! you should try getting him a mirror. he will have company without the company. and if that doesnt work my next move would be to get him another mate.one that could possibly look the same. i hope i helped and im so so sorry for your loss.
