ok so me and my sister both just got cockatiels. Mine is alot older than hers because i got her from my school. My sisters is about 3 months old. i think theres something wrong with him because hes soooo quite and he seems to be sad when hes around us. i think the company of my bird helps but hes very quiet for a baby bird. the pet store we got him from sayd they only had him for a day before we got him. he shakes to. heres a picture of him, probably wont help anything but hes the yellow cockatiel

Daww that's sweet: D
Well if he is settling on your knee and things he should be fine. He doesn't look unhealthy, He isn't puffed up nor are his feathers sleeked down in fear ...
He might not be completely comfortable because he is in a new place still, and doesn't feel like it belongs to him or is his territory, it's probably just a question of waiting and seeing how he goes, because he looks fine in the picture .

If you want to encourage him, turning on the TV or radio usually gets birds trying to compete and be louder than the noise around them, so that might bring him out of his shell? (Sorry for the pun:/)
To be honest don't think you have anything to worry about:)
