This morning i came to feed my parakeet he's and indoor bird and is not 100% tame, i got him on aug 27th and im still working on taming him ...
anyways this morning i realized his tail feathers look really weird, like loose and he turned around and his tail went on the cage and one feather came out and another looked like it was like trapped in the other feathers, and it still does and it was sticking out of the cage
so i figured id see if it would fall out if i touched it, and I realized it was stuck to another feather still, that his tail feather was split. and it looks like he has another or two loose, but i don't want to grab them or anything ...
Is this normal?
Parakeets when their lonely can start to rip out their own feathers ...
better of taking him to a vet and asking there you can get a definite answer
