Hi I have had canaries and quails since last year, now that the spring time is here they have been busy making nests and the mother quail has laid six little eggs which she is sitting on. The canary has laid one egg so far. When the chicks hatch, what am I supposed to feed them? I know I'm supposed to feed them something with a syringe ..... hard boiled egg or something? they have cuttlebone always in the cage for calcium.

You can get baby bird formula at the pet store. There are also a lot of home-made recipes formula on line.
