Please help, my budgie is ill and no avian vets!!?

My budgie has been ill for 3 days now. She sprained her foot 3 days back while playing. I think she sprained it coz she's been hopping around on one foot.So I lowered her perch and padded the bottom of her cage with soft towel. I have been giving her multivitamins dissolved in water. Her foot doesn't seem to be hurting her and she was all happy and playful (chirping about) till yesterday.

Today morning I found her breathing heavily and she was finding it difficult to balance on the perch. She was opening and closing her beak and i think she was breathing through her beak. So I took off her perch and have kept her in a warm place since then. I also gave her a little amount of herbal cough syrup and it seemed to help her as her breathing slowed down and she fell asleep. But I am really worried ... I already lost a budgie a week back as he had respiratory problems ... and now I dont want to lose her ... she's my fav baby: '(

I have been talking to her the whole day trying to keep her happy. I also played budgie sounds on youtube to keep her happy. She seems a lot better (breathing wise) and has even eaten well. Her foot seems to be the same though . I know that birds are good at hiding their illness. Please let me know if here is anything else that i can do for her. The only avian vet in my city is out on vacation. Please help!!!
You seem to be doing a good job so far. I would continue to do what you are doing. Are you sure there are no other avian vets in your area? It's very important to get your bird one. When it comes down to it, there are no good "home remedies". The bird needs a quality avian vet. Do you know how long it will be until the vet gets back? Are you sure you can't find a vet that's a little farther away? It'll be worth it if it saves your babys' life. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Have you tried this site before? It's great for looking up avian vets. If you haven't, you should definitely check it out: http://www.aav.org/search/
oK ... YOU DO NOT GIVE A BUDGIE, MEDICINE FOR HUMANS. The medicine is probably going to kill her if she took to much of it. As far as the foot is concern, take out all perches so that she does not fall off and make it worst for herself. Keep her food dish and water dish on the floor of the cage. Only with time, her foot will heal .
