Cameron is correct in that we need to know what kind of parrot to be able to give you the best advice. However, he is very mistaken if he thinks they are easy to care for. That's not the case at all. Then need a lot of attention, they are messy and can be loud. You have to make a huge commitment of your time to keep one happy and healthy. If you don't know what it is , you can try describing it for us or you can look at parrot pictures on the web and try to match it up. There is a ton of good advice and guidance on the internet if you know which type of parrot to search out.
it depends on what type of parrot it is but parrots a very easy to care for get your local vet to clip its wings if you hold it to prevent it from flying away please update me on what species of parrot it is and ill update my answer with information for you

if its a small parrot there ok to care for if you know what you doing to prevent seed everywhere get an outdoor cage so you dont get seed on the floor in the house
