she had one first and it broke so I got rid of it - then she had this one a few days later but she's not paying any attention whatsoever to it-the egg is not fertile since there's no male - she had eggs last Christmas and sat on them for about a month until she just gave up on them but she's not bothering with this one at all - what should I do with it - I don't want to upset her or cause her to have more eggs - can anyone help me on this I would really appreciate it

Keep the egg inside the cage for a few more days in case she later decide she wants to sit on it. If after a week has gone by and she hasn't sat on it, then you can throw it away.
Most likely, she won't lay another egg after you throw out the egg.

Try replacing it with something of a similar size and color. This should give the impression that she still has an unhatched egg.
Mine did the same!
Afraid its just a case of letting her do what she wants - my mother tried to keep the egg warm and so on, but it didnt encourage her!
