I made a site for first time budgie owners. I'm am currently editing the page on breeding budgies that are 1 year or older in age, and I need to know about how much it costs to get your budgie sexed by a vet. I never got my budgies sexed by a vet, so I wouldn't know. So far this page includes a section on how to determine your budgies sex by looking at the birds cere. Asking a vet is the next section, than I am going to include a section on how to determine your budgies age.
Please don't answer my question with answers about how to care for my budgies. I wouldn't be making a site for first time owners if I didn't already know pretty much everything there is to know about how to care for budgies. Thanks!
I imagine cost would depend on what part of the USA you live in or possibly even what country you live in. I only know of one way to get the numbers and that's to call avian practices directly and then figure an average . Depends on how much accuracy you're going for.

I know that the average to get any exotic bird DNA sexed is around $ 20, but it really depends on the vet and the bird.
If it's a vet that regularly sexes birds on a daily basis then I'd say the price would be a bit lower. Their vets will be experienced in this field and know what they are doing. However, if the clinic is more for dogs, cats, the like, the price will be a bit higher because the vets have not explored this thoroughly.
For budgies I'd say it would be around $ 15 to $ 20, but the price tag may increase or decrease.
