Why is my diamond dove laying unfertilized eggs?
so i have a diamond dove but she alone in the cage she has never been in a cage with a male and she has laid 2 eggs today i don't even have a nest for her or nothing ?? this is the second time she has laid eggs about 5 months ago she laid 2 eggs ..and yeah the eggs are empty..

It's normal for any female bird to lay unfertile eggs; with or without a mate. So don't worry and just make sure that she has a calcium supplement in her cage always. And keep your eye out for egg binding.
maybe it's part of the bird cycle? maybe she has to produce an egg, whether there's something inside it or not....some animals can produce offspring without a male....it's called asexual reproduction. check with a veterinarion maybe they know.
Female birds will lay eggs regardless of whether a male is with them or not... they will just be unfertilized. Be sure that she's getting all the nutrients she needs so that you don't have to worry about egg binding.
it is perfectly normal............that is how we get chicken eggs at the crocery store that dont hav chicks in them. they just lay eggs sometimes, and it will probably happen in patterns.
