How do I encourage my budgies to Breed?
I have a couple of budgies that I want to breed. They are a bonded pair - (and yes definately male and female). They are in a large cage and a nest box is attached to the outside top left corner of the cage.
The boys cere is bright blue and the girls cere is tan, slowely getting darker.
I have attached pictures of the birds and the setup.
Please help :)

Thanks in advance :)
budgies won't breed unless they are in a flock. they come from australia, and fly around in HUGE groups. also, they won't breed until they are a year or two older, if they are. my BEST advise would be to get some more birds if you desperatly want to breed. maybe put a toy in with a mirror, it will give them the illusion of another bird which will want them to mate. avoid changing the perches and toys around, and only clean their cage once a week. add a couple more birds, and avoid change so they focous on eachother. give them A LITTLE less attention. sorry if it doesn't help, but it usually only works in large flocks.
Uncover them and place them somewhere where they are gettin extra sunlight.

Depending where you live ( its winter where i live so theres less hours of light )you might need to provide extra artificial lighting. More lighting will encourage them to breed thinking its summer time. It all takes time but if your seeing the female becoming interested in the next box. To the point where she keeps jumping in out that a very good sign it will trigger her to want to mate!! Also by this time you should increase her supplements.
