PLEASE ANSWER !!!!!!!! URGENT Is my love bird sick?
I've noticed that my lovebird has been bobbing his tail (not vary noticeable or fast) should I be worried? It is very active and I don't really hear any breathing problems he's 6 months old. Thanks!!! !!! PLEASE ANSWER !!!!!!! I've had him for a week if it helps

answer:
Without actually seeing the movements, it's hard to say for sure. However, tail bobbing is most definitely an indication of respiratory distress in a bird. Unless it gets very bad, you will not be able to hear anything without a stethoscope. If it worsens, you will see the bird doing open beak breathing and you may start to hear gasping, wheezing and/or clicking sounds. I would recommend a check up asap with a good Avian vet. In the meantime, I'm going to give you some links to some birds dangers in the home. Many of them might seem harmless because they don't affect other pets but can be deadly to birds. Some instantly, some over time. Use the lists to do an inventory of products and items in your home to determine if you have been unknowingly using any harmful products around him.

Doesn't sound like a problem unless he is also sleepy or fluffed up all the time. If he is active and chirpy and eating well with plenty of food and water available, he should be fine.

I thank your bird is ok, bobbing his tail don't mean anything
