My female budgies laid 3 eggs?
i have a pair of breeding budgies how are two years old she laid there 1st egg on 2nd of august and then she laid her 2nd and 3rd after every two days . i candeled the eg and can see in to of the eggs vains therfore i know they are fertile the problem is that the female keeps getting of the eggs will it affect the chick inside the egg
many thansk

answer:
As long as she continues to set on them, the eggs will be fine. Every now and then, if the female gets out of the nest box for some food, water or calcium , that's ok too. AS long as she does stay out of the nest box fo more then 30 minutes per time, its ok.

I had a female parakeet who in the end had to feed herself in order to survive , and she was able to do it, and the egg hatch on right on time. The male parakeet had to be moved to a different cage because he started to abuse her.

Just because you have seen her in with the eggs does NOT mean she is fully incubating them yet. They often wait till they have a few eggs first before fully incubating them. Some people think their female is incubating already when all she is doing is sitting in there long enough to lay her next egg.

You have no reason to worry at this stage as it seems she isnt ready to incubate yet. She will. Besides she is able to get off the eggs for up to 20 minutes at a time once she does begin to incubate.
If you are breeding with immature birds of course then that is a different story altogether as breeding with birds too young (under 12 months) you can have all kinds of problems and they would all be your fault for not waiting till they were older ....... .. if they are too young.

The female keeps doing what? Sorry, I think you had a typo or something. I'm pretty sure the eggs will be fine. You have a nest box right? They should have cloth or nesting materiel available in there. Good luck!=D ~
