Found a big in the yard. I did some research to see what to do, as the local animal rescue was closed, and found that a makeshift nest placed or tacked by the nest will help the mother see and take care of the baby. After 24hrs the bird is still alive. How long will it last if the mother is not taking care of it?

Maybe another 24 hours if it is lucky enough not to be eaten by a predator or die of starvation.
